Beginner's Guide to HTX Exchange

1 Download the HTX App or Visit the Website

You can access HTX Exchange through their website or mobile app. For the best experience, we recommend using both:

• Website: Visit the official HTX Exchange website
• Mobile App: Download from the official download page, Apple App Store, or Google Play Store

2 Begin the Registration Process

Click the "Sign Up" or "Register" button on the homepage or app. You'll need to provide:

• Your email address or mobile phone number
• A strong, unique password (use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols)
• Agreement to the Terms of Service

3 Verify Your Email/Phone

HTX will send a verification code to your email or phone. Enter this code to confirm your contact information. This step is crucial for account recovery and security notifications.

4 Set Up Basic Security

Immediately after registration, you'll be prompted to set up basic security features. Don't skip these steps:

• Enable login password protection
• Set up trading password (different from your login password)
• Configure anti-phishing code

1 Access the Verification Section

Navigate to "Account" or "Security" in your HTX dashboard and find the "Identity Verification" section.

2 Provide Personal Information

You'll need to provide:

• Full legal name (as it appears on your government ID)
• Residential address
• Date of birth
• Nationality

3 Submit Identification Documents

HTX requires one or more of the following documents:

• Passport: Usually the preferred document internationally
• Driver's License: Accepted in many jurisdictions
• National ID Card: Accepted for certain countries

Ensure your documents are clear, all corners are visible, and the text is readable.

4 Facial Verification

You'll be asked to take a selfie or short video to confirm your identity matches the documents provided. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.

5 Wait for Approval

Verification typically takes from a few hours to a couple of days. You'll receive notification once your account is verified.

1 Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA adds an extra layer of security beyond your password. HTX supports several 2FA methods:

• Google Authenticator: Our recommended method
• SMS Authentication: Convenient but less secure than authenticator apps
• Email Authentication: Secondary backup option

How to set up Google Authenticator:

1. Download Google Authenticator from your app store
2. In HTX, go to Security Settings → Google Authentication
3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
4. Save the backup key in a secure location (password manager or offline)
5. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator to verify

2 Anti-Phishing Code

This unique code appears in legitimate emails from HTX, helping you distinguish them from phishing attempts:

1. Go to Account Settings → Security → Anti-Phishing Code
2. Create a unique phrase (not used elsewhere)
3. Save this code and look for it in all HTX communications

3 Withdrawal Address Whitelisting

This feature restricts withdrawals to pre-approved addresses only:

1. Navigate to Security Settings → Withdrawal Address Management
2. Add your trusted wallet addresses (personal hardware wallet, etc.)
3. Enable whitelist-only withdrawals

Once enabled, any withdrawal attempt to a non-whitelisted address will be automatically blocked.

4 Device Management

Regularly review and manage devices that have access to your account:

1. Go to Security Settings → Device Management
2. Remove unfamiliar devices
3. Consider removing old devices you no longer use

5 Login History Monitoring

Periodically check your login history for suspicious activity:

1. Access Security Settings → Login History
2. Look for logins from unfamiliar locations or devices
3. If you see suspicious activity, change your password immediately and contact support

1 Deposit Cryptocurrency

The easiest way to start is by depositing cryptocurrency:

1. Navigate to "Assets" → "Deposit"
2. Select the cryptocurrency you want to deposit
3. Copy the deposit address or scan the QR code
4. Send funds from your external wallet to this address

Important: Always send a small test transaction first to confirm everything works correctly.

2 Fiat Deposits (Where Available)

Depending on your region, you may be able to deposit fiat currency:

• Bank transfer
• Credit/debit card purchases
• Third-party payment processors

Check the "Buy Crypto" section for available options in your country.

3 Making Your First Trade

Start with a simple spot trade:

1. Go to "Trade" → "Spot Trading"
2. Select a trading pair (e.g., BTC/USDT)
3. Choose between market order (instant execution) or limit order (set your price)
4. For beginners, start with a market order for simplicity
5. Enter the amount and confirm the trade
